Google Sheets & Google Calendar Integration Guide
8 min read
Quick Summary
WAutoAI integrates with Google Sheets and Google Calendar through OAuth 2.0. Once connected, your AI agent can automatically add new lead data to your spreadsheet, check your calendar for available slots, and book appointments for customers — all through natural WhatsApp conversations.
⚠️Prerequisites
- A WAutoAI Pro or Enterprise plan (Google integrations are not available on Starter)
- A Google account with access to the Sheet and Calendar you want to connect
- An existing Google Sheet where leads will be logged
Step-by-Step Guide
Go to your WAutoAI dashboard and click 'Integrations' in the sidebar.
Under 'Google', click 'Connect with Google'. You'll be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen.
Sign in with the Google account that owns the Sheet and Calendar you want to use. Grant permissions for Sheets and Calendar access.
After authorization, you'll be redirected back to WAutoAI. The Google integration will show as 'Connected'.
Find your Spreadsheet ID: Open your Google Sheet and look at the URL. The ID is the long string between '/d/' and '/edit'.
Find your Calendar ID: Open Google Calendar → Settings → Settings for my calendars → select your calendar → scroll to 'Integrate calendar' → copy the 'Calendar ID'.
Paste both IDs into the Google settings fields in WAutoAI and click 'Save'. Your AI can now log leads to Sheets and book appointments on your Calendar.
What Your AI Can Do With Google
📊 Google Sheets Actions
- →Auto-log lead name, phone, summary, and status
- →Categorize leads as new, qualified, completed, or spam
- →Append data with timestamps automatically
📅 Google Calendar Actions
- →Check availability for specific dates
- →Book 1-hour appointments automatically
- →Send calendar invites to customers
Troubleshooting
Google OAuth token expired
OAuth tokens expire periodically. If the AI reports "Google is not connected", go to Integrations, disconnect Google, and reconnect. WAutoAI automatically tries to refresh tokens, but if the refresh token is invalid, a fresh connection is needed.
AI says "No Sheet ID configured"
You've connected Google but haven't set your Spreadsheet ID. Go to Integrations → Google → Settings, paste your Spreadsheet ID, and save. The ID is the long string in your Sheet URL between/d/and/edit.
